Acceptance of Terms

By scheduling an appointment, requesting an estimate, submitting a website inquiry, or accepting work performed by The Glassperts Sliding Glass Door & Window Repair ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you ("Client," "Customer," or "you") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

If you are booking services on behalf of a business, property management firm, or homeowner association (HOA), you represent and warrant that you have full legal authority to bind that entity to this agreement.

02

Estimates & Flat-Rate Pricing

We provide upfront, written flat-rate pricing before commencing any repair or installation work. Online or phone estimates are preliminary quotes based on descriptions provided by the customer and are subject to final on-site physical diagnosis by our technicians.

  • No Hidden Fees: We do not charge travel or diagnostic fees on standard completed work within our service territory.
  • Price Binding: Written on-site quotes provided by our certified technicians are valid for 30 calendar days from the date issued.
  • Custom Orders: Custom-cut tempered glass, architectural IGUs, or special-order commercial hardware require customer authorization prior to fabrication.
03

On-Site Service & Property Access

To ensure safe and efficient repairs, the customer agrees to provide unobstructed access to the work area (including balconies, interior hallways, and electrical outlets if required).

Condo & Gated Community Requirements:

  • The customer is responsible for registering our visit with building security or HOA gatekeepers.
  • If a Certificate of Insurance (COI) is required by building management, notify our office at least 24 hours prior to your appointment window.
  • An adult (18 years or older) with decision-making authority must be present throughout the service duration.
04

Payment & Billing Terms

Payment is due in full immediately upon completion of services and customer inspection. For standard repairs, no initial deposit is required. For custom-ordered glass units or commercial storefront orders exceeding $1,500, a 50% material deposit is required prior to ordering.

Accepted Forms of Payment: All major Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), Debit Cards, Zelle, Checks, and Cash. Commercial clients with pre-approved net-30 terms are invoiced via email.

Unpaid invoices past 30 days are subject to a 1.5% monthly late fee and collection costs as permitted by applicable state law.

05

Warranties & Workmanship Guarantees

We stand behind the quality of our craftsmanship and materials with clear written warranties:

  • Rollers & Hardware: All new tandem ball-bearing rollers, mortise locks, handles, and commercial pivots installed by our team include a full replacement warranty against manufacturer defects.
  • Stainless Steel Track Caps: Installed track cap overlays are warrantied against pitting, bending, or loosening under normal residential and commercial usage.
  • Insulated Glass Units (IGUs): New double-pane glass units carry a manufacturer warranty against internal seal failure and fogging.

Warranty Exclusions: Warranties do not cover damage resulting from accidental glass impact, natural disasters (hurricanes exceeding system design loads), structural foundation shifting, improper third-party chemical cleaning, or unauthorized DIY alterations.

06

Structural & Existing Glass Conditions

Prior to beginning work, our technicians inspect your opening for severe structural settling, framing rot, or out-of-square headers. If existing structural framing issues prevent a safe and warrantied repair, the technician will inform you and explain the necessary corrective steps.

When repairing doors with pre-existing spiderweb cracks or severely chipped tempered glass, the customer acknowledges that stressed glass panels may break during handling due to compromised structural tension. Our technicians take all necessary safety precautions during de-glazing.

07

SMS Messaging & 10-DLC Compliance

By providing your telephone number during quote submission or scheduling, you authorize The Glassperts to send service-related transactional text messages (such as dispatch notifications, 2-hour arrival window alerts, and digital estimates).

10-DLC Zero-Sharing Guarantee: Your mobile phone number and SMS consent will never be sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. You may opt out at any time by texting STOP or text HELP for assistance.
08

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, The Glassperts shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from property loss, business interruption, or pre-existing water intrusion occurring prior to our service date.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to services rendered shall be limited to the total amount paid by the customer for the specific service in dispute.

09

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State in which the service was rendered, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to this contract shall first be submitted to good-faith mediation between the parties before initiating formal legal proceedings.
